Thank you to Briarwood Angus Farms’ loyal customers, farm manager David Warfield, auctioneer Bill Nance, LiveAuctions.TV, and our entire Briarwood crew for making our 2025 Spring Sale a cosmic success! Our event was one of the best sales in Briarwood Angus Farms’ 61 years in the beef business.
Fall and Spring Yearling Bulls accounted for 32 lots, which averaged $6373. An equally nice offering of 32 female lots garnered active bidding, with registered females averaging $3703.
Glen McElwain of Butler, Mo., purchased the High Selling Bull, Briarwood Mr Cool, for $11,500. He’s by Briarwood Mr Cool 8094 and out of Gleonda Lady Erica C164.
Second High Selling Bull went home with Rep. Dane Diehl, also of Butler. The Briarwood Sure Fire 3091 by GAR Sure Fire and out of Briarwood Rose 1088 brought $8,750.
The High Selling Female Lot 45 & 45A sold for a total of $8,000 to Russell Mohr, Amsterdam, Mo. Mohr claimed four-year-old Briarwood Rose 1088 bred to URF Alpha G131; and also bought Rose’s September heifer calf by S Architect.
Ron Carroll, Broken Bow, Ok.., scored as Volume Bull Buyer, securing five head. Richard McLain of Butler, Mo. gathered up five lots to become Volume Female Buyer.
Congratulations to Cliff & Mandy Hall, Bronson, Ks., who won the drawing for the commercial Angus heifer, a Briarwood Super 7093 daughter. Hall’s purchase of lot 18 – Briarwood Quantum 3126 earned his ticket in the drawing.
